Reunion to commemorate 50 years since the closure of the Royal Wanstead School in Snaresbrook.
In light of the recent government announcement with regard to the final easing of restrictions being delayed, it is now not possible for The FoRWS Commemorative Reunion on 3rd July to take place.

We will be holding a reunion on Saturday 3rd July 2021 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the closure of the Royal Wanstead School in Snaresbrook.
HRH The Princess Royal has kindly agreed to join us for some part of the day.

Although the Royal Wanstead School itself closed in 1971, the Royal Wanstead Foundation continued on, becoming the Royal National Children’s Foundation and, after merging with The Springboard Bursary Foundation in 2017, exists today as The Royal National Children’s Springboard Foundation (RNCSBF). In early 2020, the RNCSBF appointed a new Chief Executive, Ali Henderson
A number of Old Wansteadians often ask me about the continuing work of The Foundation and for that reason, new CEO Ali haskindly offered to present a live 1 hour webinar for FoRWS Members on Tuesday 12th January at 4pm where she can provide more information the work of the RNCSBF.

Armistice Day / Remembrance service undertaken by the Chaplain to the Court for court staff and FoRWS / OWs to attend. The FoRWS lay a wreath on behalf of fallen OWs. We usually ask for an OW who has served in the military to undertake this.
Monday 13th December 2020
Snaresbrook Crown Court Chapel Service of Nine Lessons and Carols.
Service starts at 7:00pm sharp (doors open 6:30pm) and lasts approximately 1 hour.Tea and biscuits will be served afterwards.
The next Royal Wanstead School reunion is planned for June 2021, to commemorate 50 years since the closing of RWS.Further information will be available in due course.
